Prescriptions – How to request a prescription

Repeat Prescriptions

There are several ways to request a repeat prescription:

  • Ask your usual pharmacy to request your prescriptions from the surgery when they become due.
  • Drop off your completed Repeat Slip at our Reception Desk.
  • Register for our online service (Patient Access) for the facility to request repeat prescriptions online.

On request, it will take no longer than 48 working hours for the surgery to send your prescription to your usual chemist.

Urgent Prescriptions

If you have forgotten to request your prescription and are due to run out of your medication, we will make every effort to organise an urgent prescription on the same working day. Please ring our Reception Desk on 01889 572244, Option 1, or call into the surgery.

Raising queries regarding your medication

  • Please speak to our Reception Team. A member of staff will ask the advice of a GP or Practice Pharmacist and reply back to you.
  • If you are registered with Patient Access, you are able to direct-message the surgery with your query.

Nominated Pharmacy

Patients are able to nominate their pharmacy of choice; and make changes to this as required. Electronic prescriptions will be sent to the nominated pharmacy of choice.

Please speak to your pharmacy of choice if you wish to change your nominated pharmacy; or speak to a member of our Team for advice.
