Out of Hours
If an emergency occurs, telephone the usual number: 01889 582244.
On dialling this number you will hear a recorded message that will advise you that the surgery is closed and you have come through to the out-of-hours service. Your call will then be put through to a trained receptionist at the Out of hours On-call Service, who will take your details.
You will need to provide your name, address, the name of your GP, a contact telephone number and date of birth. Please be ready with these details.
Depending on the nature of your problem they will return your call and you will speak to a doctor who will give you appropriate advice or ask you to attend an out-of-hours centre or visit.
At weekends please call only if your problem cannot wait until ordinary surgery hours.

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call 111 to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
